Great Quarry – VELFAC V200

Set against the striking backdrop of a former chalk quarry, this project replaced an existing conservatory with a contemporary extension.

The homeowners removed the original conservatory and remodelled the space to create a bright, open-plan living area. As a result, the extension now offers more natural light and a greater sense of space.

To maximise daylight, the project team specified VELFAC windows and doors alongside VELUX rooflights. Together, these products bring light deep into the interior and support natural ventilation.

The VELFAC V200 system proved an ideal choice for the project. Its slim frames maximise glazed areas, while the durable powder-coated aluminium exterior provides long-lasting performance. Inside, the timber frames create a warm and welcoming finish.

We commissioned Westcott to replace our house front door. This is not a cheap process, so we decided to search for the exact style, accessories and colour finishes we wanted. The sales team were helpful at every stage of the design process. Installation time arrived, and we had an outstanding fitting team, who were professional, helpful and courteous, keeping us informed of options and decisions throughout the day. It’s a pity they were not able to do fine finishing, such as adding trims where the door frame meets our interior plasterwork, but overall we were very happy with the fit-up experience and the completed Installation.
