Great Quarry – VELFAC V200
Great Quarry – VELFAC V200
Set within the stunning backdrop of the white cliffs of an old chalk quarry, this project involved the removal of an existing conservatory and its replacement with a contemporary extension.
The original conservatory was all but demolished and remodelled to create an open living space with an abundance of natural light.
To maximise light, a combination of state of the art VELFAC windows and doors were installed alongside VELUX roof lights, which also assisted with ventilation.
VELFAC’s V200 product range was the perfect choice for glazing given its’ narrow sightlines, durable external powder-coated finish and warm-to-the-touch timber frames internally.

I would like to thank you for a great service in installing the windows in the two houses. The team were brilliant and we are very pleased with the final result.
Mr Hewitt, United Kingdom
When ordering the windows, we made numerous changes along the way. They were very quick to update the order and help with questions along the way. Their installation team was good and were able to overcome a few quirks in our existing house. I was doing the following on decoration works after the windows were fitted. A couple of aspects made it difficult to finish up around the newly installed windows. Shims and metal plates were left in need of grinding back in order to get a plasterboard back up against the window internally. This was perhaps inevitable however, due to the old Victorian check reveals in the brickwork and some very out of square existing openings. On the whole we are very pleased.

What makes this company stand out is outstanding customer service from start to finish. I had VELFAC 200 Energy windows installed for a new self-build so attention to detail was paramount. Composite Windows came to site multiple times before, during and after fitting to ensure the product was perfect. When one of the larger units was difficult to close, they sent their engineers to adjust it but still determined it wasn’t perfect, so replaced the entire unit. Its the service we all would hope companies strive to deliver but we typically settle for less. Composite windows really did deliver on my project. They have a great team in the office and at site. I would definitely use them in subsequent projects.
