Solarlux’s pre-fabrication process make for a speedy installation. There are a multitude of shading and ventilation options compatible with the roof system. Team the SDL Avalis with a Combiline bi-folding door or one of the many sliding doors available to completely remove the boundary from outside to inside.

The choice is yours between a free standing system or one that connects to your home/space. All designs are completely bespoke and tailored to your needs. You can even add skylights into an insulated roof system, anything is possible!

System Description

The Solarlux roof system SDL Avalis is a load-bearing plate element as part of a thermally insulated wooden system intended to extend living space. Its classic design makes every roof shape possible. The installation of relevant elements, glazing, ventilation elements and shading meets the requirements of the EnEV (German Energy Savings Ordinance) for housing quality.

Features Of The Roof Plate

• The load-bearing structure is manufactured using laminated spruce planks of elite surface quality in accordance with DIN 1052-1. A load-bearing plate element with optimal properties of exceptional quality is used. The wood is PEFC certified and sourced from sustainable forestry.
• The plate element features at least five layers of timber glued perpendicular to one another. As a result, it effectively resists vapour diffusion and is classified as vapour diffusion-tight.
• The component is a solid construction material with very high load bearing capacity, while the pre-fabricated elements are quick and easy to install

Design Features

• Can be set up as a free-standing construction or integrated into the existing house architecture.
• Custom width, depth and thickness dimensions are possible depending on structural requirements to provide creative freedom for a wide range of designs.
• Low heat conductivity ensures the utmost home comfort and saves energy
• Construction does not transfer structural loads to the elements – the sealing materials and thermal insulation lay on top and cover the plate element
• The roof pitch of at least 2 % occurs through pitch insulation
• Two roof overhangs: Plate element with slanted configuration and plate component with straight configuration
• You can select a roof overhang of up to 1,000 mm
• Posts are made of stainless steel and can be positioned in terms of width to match individual needs in accordance with structural requirements
• Roof plates are available with an optional cut-out (skylight)
• The skylight is available in the form of a monopitch or pitched roof with the option of Solarlux roof profiles
• Rainwater is directed to the gutter above the roof plate and runs off via the lateral drain
• The elements are installed with the necessary clearance to the vertical posts
• The on-site team installs the internal cladding using a ceiling system tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Ventilation And Shading

• We meet your ventilation needs by installing high quality, electrically operable lift and slide windows, a roll ventilator, or a roof hatch—depending on your requirements. You can control all options easily through an automatic system.
• Both an under roof awning in combination with anti-sun glass and an external roof awning are available for the skylight.
• You can also shade the vertical elements with a system solution, such as a vertical awning
