Villa Aalto – VELFAC V200

Villa Aalto – featuring the VELFAC V200 window and door system – now stands on the site of a once-dated chalet bungalow. The property sits just metres from the coast in a highly sought-after Hampshire location, and the original nondescript structure offered enormous potential for a dramatic transformation.

Architect Carl Leroy Smith designed Villa Aalto with inspiration drawn from Finnish architect Alvar Aalto’s iconic Villa Mairea, one of the most famous houses of the early 20th century. His design reflects this influence throughout the home.

The house includes VELFAC V200 patio doors on both the ground and first floors, and the upper-level doors open onto a striking wrap-around balcony. These expansive windows flood the living and dining areas with natural light and brighten the first-floor bedrooms as well. Externally, the aluminium sashes feature an anthracite grey powder-coated finish. Internally, the timber frames painted in “Pebble Grey” create a warm and welcoming look.
